Title: Peru/England art workshop and murals
From May to July 2019 I have led an art workshop related to my previous experience earlier on that year in Peru. In one of the primary school where I currently work, I developed a series of art sessions which they focused on the cultural heritage and nature from both Peru and the UK.
With two selected groups of young children, aged 5 to 10 years old, we worked initially indoor by making drawings, collage and masks with different tools and materials; later on some of these drawings were used to paint two murals in the school. My role during the murals was to supervise the students and add some final touches. Here a selection of some drawings plus some pictures of the murals. Enjoy.
Students involved: 2 groups of 12 kids each made by students from 5 to 7 years old and from 8 to 10 years old.
Client: Our Lady of lourdes Primary School – Rottigdean
Materials used: feltpens, soft pastels, pencils, charcoals, different sizes papers, spray cans and wall paints.
